The School of Therapeutic Bodywork at Spandala Institute offers comprehensive education in hands-on healing practices that support the body’s natural capacity for balance, regulation, and restoration. Our programs are designed for students who wish to develop professional skills in bodywork while cultivating a deep understanding of the relationship between touch, the nervous system, and overall well-being.
Therapeutic bodywork has long been recognized as a powerful approach to relieving tension, supporting pain reduction, improving mobility, and promoting relaxation. At Spandala Institute, our training integrates both traditional bodywork systems and modern understanding of anatomy, physiology, and nervous system regulation. Students learn to work with the body through skilled touch, mindful presence, and an appreciation for the body’s innate intelligence.
The School of Therapeutic Bodywork includes training in established modalities such as professional pre-licensure massage practice, Thai Metta Bodywork™, and as well as the institute’s proprietary approach to nervous-system–centered bodywork.
Through hands-on training, supervised practice, and supportive mentorship, students develop both technical skill and therapeutic presence. Graduates of the program are prepared to offer safe, effective bodywork sessions in private practice, wellness centers, integrative health environments, and community settings.
The School of Therapeutic Bodywork reflects the broader mission of Spandala Institute: to educate practitioners who approach healing with skill, compassion, and a deep respect for the intelligence of the human body.
